What are the symptoms of Smallpox?
First of all, the symptoms of smallpox do not show up on any victim who contracts the disease until about
one to two whole weeks after their initial exposure.
The early symptoms of smallpox include:
- A rash (of red spots) on the tongue and mouth and throat.
- Pustular rashes (many easily visible, small circular bumps under the skin which are sensitive and
contain pus inside of them).
- Scabs (most of the pustular rashes [the bumps on the skin] turn into crusty scabs, which eventually fall
off if the victim is cured).
The primary symptoms of this deadly disease include:
- High fever
- Aches throughout the body
- Vomiting.
- Diarrhea.
Overall, smallpox is an extremely painful disease to contract with symptoms like these.
